LG Thrill 4G hitting AT&T inside the coming weeks for $99.99

A week ago we saw that the LG Thrill 4G for AT&T will be costing $79.99 when it hits Radio Shack, perhaps on August 7th. If you’d like to get your Thrill from a corporate AT&T shop, though, it appears such as you’ll have to pony up a few more bucks. AT&T just announced that the Thrill 4G will be priced at $99.99 with a two-year contract when they get it. Just when will that happen? AT&T didn’t get into specifics, saying only that the Thrill will hit in the coming weeks.

Even though AT&T’s prices are a tad higher than Radio Shack‘s, you can’t really go wrong with picking up a dual-core packin’, 3D-capable Thrill 4G from either company. It’s kind of a bummer that the Thrill won’t come with Gingerbread out of the box, but hey, at least we know that an update to Android 2.3 should be coming along eventually

Verizon LG Revolution campaign: Netflix 3 months free

Verizon carries a new promotion out, that is trying to woo you for the LG Revolution 4G android smartphone with the promise of summer blockbusters and hot stars. If you buy a new LG Revolution with a 2 year contract you can get a free Three months of Netflix streaming.

The newest promo runs from today through August 28th and is good for new and current Netflix subscribers. The value of this promotion is $7.99 per month for the 3 month period, which makes this a nice add-on, although not a reason to buy the LG Revolution in and of itself.

You will get the promotion by purchasing in store, online or on the phone. Once you get home, grab your receipt and visit LGusa.com/RevolutionNetflix

The promotion is an interesting value for new Verizon smartphone owners who will face limited data plans, which could put a hamper on the streaming fun. Netflix has recently adjusted their price plans in an attempt to get more users on the streaming service only. This promo may e a joint effort to make that happen.

The Netflix app only works on a handful of devices, so if you do want Netflix on your next phone you need ot make sure that it is available for that specific model from the start.

Like the ThunderBolt price slash from this morning, this is a decent deal, but at this point savvy shoppers would be well served to wait for the Droid Bionic, which is expected in September.

AT&T: LG Thrill 4G Pre-Orders Can start Radio Shack

The LG Thrill 4G for AT&T, the United States’ edition of the “LG Optimus 3D“, may be lurking in the shadows of the “Motorola Droid Bionic” and “Samsung Galaxy S2″I for a while now but today, it has lastly emerged (sort of) and it is now available to those who waltz into “Radio Shack” outlets. Based on evidence procured by Engadget, the 3D smartphone can be secured with by purchasing a $50 Radio Shack gift card. It’s likely to price $80, pretty good, on a new 2 year contract and will supposedly launch in the beginning of August with August 7th being the supposed release date.

For those of you that dislike contracts, you can also snag the Thrill 4G for $550 off-contract but unless you have vaults of money, that’s probably going to be too steep of a cost for most.

LG Thrill 4g

The LG Thrill 4G faces an uphill battle right from the get-go as it will definitely be launching after Sprint’s HTC EVO 3D and will likely be launching right around the time the Motorola Droid Bionic arrives on Verizon. Throw in the fact that the Galaxy S II is supposedly coming to America next month and you can see why the Thrill 4G is probably not at the top of many peoples wish list.

If 3D is your thing though and you don’t like the EVO 3D and its WiMax speeds, the Thrill 4G is probably going to be the phone you want to snag and luckily, you can do that today if you wish.
