O2 Lets out 2.3.4 Update For HTC Sensation App

The HTC Sensation was initially up-to-date to Android 2.3.4 last month when Vodafone released the update. Since that time 3 have verified the update is coming soon to their network and today O2 have released the update.

Compared to the majority of Android updates 2.3.4 is a small affair, but it will fix a number of bugs and security flaws which have plagued the os. İn addition, it does enable video calling in Google Talk so its definitely worthwhile downloading.

Like every Android updates you should try and download over a WiFi network or home network rather than using up your mobile data.

The HTC Sensation is a powerful Android cell phone and an even better version will be launching soon. The “HTC Sensation XE” was announced previously this month and has a better processor (1.5GHz) and 4GB of onboard memory space. Nevertheless, the flagship feature of the XE is that it comes with Beats By Dre headphones and optimized music playback.
You are able to download the Android 2.3.4 update for the HTC Sensation from O2 over-the-air right now.

HTC Sensation available these days on Three UK

These days sees the finish of Vodafone’s UK-wide exclusivity from the HTC Sensation, with the release of the phone on rival network Three. Three has HTC’s dual-core monster readily available for £449.99 with no contract, or for free on 24-month contracts starting at £30 monthly.

This matches the lowest priced Vodafone contract which includes a free Sensation, though for your £30 Three provides you with a more generous data and text allowance (1GB and 5000 texts), at the expense of fewer minutes (500 vs. 1500 on Vodafone). Three’s also providing the Sensation on its £37 per month “One Plan”, including unlimited data, 5000 texts and 2000 minutes.

HTC Sensation also is affected with iPhone 4 Dying Grip

Everybody remembers the iPhone 4 death grip disaster and Apple’s bumper program, however it looks as though among the summer’s highly anticipated Android phones also offers the same problem.

T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation 4G is the latest phone to suffer from the death grip problem. The death grip problem occurs when one grabs the device in a certain way, which in turn results in the phone losing its cellular signal, and it is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The issue is caused by the Sensation’s back cover based on multiple tests done by Nordic Hardware. The metal battery cover has a few plastic patches that act as antennae for the telephone. If you cover up one of the patches, your connectivity will weaken, particularly with bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

HTC Sensation death grip problem

As seen in the recording below, when one puts the device on the palm of their hand, it stops audio playback. The death grip will also block weaker hotspots from showing up in your Sensation. The initial reaction of most people to correct this problem is equivalent to the iPhone, use a phone case. This can not work on the Sensation since it actually blocks the antennae rather preventing the user from shorting it which was the case on the apple iphone 4. Not sure how HTC plans on repairing this, but we will keep you updated on the situation.
